Thérèse E. Rymer, RN, FNP-BC-Retired, COHN-S, MAS

Ms. Rymer has responded to a number of large-scale disasters in the United States and worked in humanitarian relief efforts in the international community. She has developed numerous training programs and exercises including active shooter risks, hostage events, terrorism and natural and man-made disasters. She is a recognized expert in the development and coordination of hospital and regional disaster plans. She was the director of Emergency Preparedness & Response for a major San Diego health system for 11 years and involved in disaster readiness and response for the past 25 years. She is a nurse practitioner with a background in family practice and occupational medicine. Thérèse holds a Master of Advanced Studies from UC San Diego in the Leadership of Healthcare Organizations.
